I'm not sure whether it's official or not but Salesforce.com is now offering 60-day trial subscriptions to the pre-release version of their Winter 08 release.

Basically, the next release of Salesforce.com is scheduled to roll-out in early November. If you're itching to get a sneak peak at the new functionality (as I am) you can get a 60-day trial subscription. Sure it will expire and you can't keep your data.
