Salesforce.com to announce Visualforce next week at Dreamforce

Apparently, Salesforce.com plans to unveil the newest offering on their Force.com platform next week at their annual user conference, Dreamforce.

What will this new offering do?
Essentially, this should allow Salesforce.com customers to create custom user interface screens and functionality that will be hosted on the Salesforce.com platform. Companies like mine can break free of the limitations of the native screen functionality and build more rich user interfaces without having to host code on our own web servers.

I'll hold judgement until I get my hands on a Developer org and can play with the new functionality but I have to admit, I'm pretty excited.
